The Day You Stopped Watching

People who had access to you never really understood how unavailable you were to the rest of the world… until they became the rest of the world.

That version of you… it felt easy, didn’t it?

Before all of this.

Before the awareness.
Before the language.
Before you started dissecting your own existence like it was something to solve instead of something to live.

Do you miss it?

Be honest.

I do too.

I miss the version of me that didn’t interrogate every desire like it was on trial.
I miss wanting something without asking, is this aligned?
Without wondering if it came from lack…
Or if it was some leftover belief from childhood quietly sabotaging the moment.

I miss moving through a day without narrating it like I was hosting a documentary on consciousness.

Pause.
Reflect.
Evaluate.
Adjust.

Repeat.

Before all of this… were you at peace?
Or were you just unaware?

That’s the question that stings a little.

Because it’s easy to romanticize the past when you’ve made the present feel like work.

Back then, you didn’t know anything.

Exactly.

And somehow… you laughed more.
Moved more freely.
You weren’t trying to get life right.

Now look at you.

You didn’t just wake up.
You tried to take control of the awakening.

You tried to manage the dream.

And somewhere in that shift… you became exhausting to yourself.

You started spiritually micromanaging reality.

Checking your thoughts.
Correcting your emotions.
Watching your state of mind like it held the keys to everything.

Am I aligned?
Should I affirm more?
Is this the right frequency?

Say it out loud and listen to yourself.

It sounds insane.

Because it is.

You took something infinite…
and turned it into a chore.

Now you’re giving yourself performance reviews every five minutes.

Grading your thoughts.
Auditing your emotions.
Monitoring your reactions.

You put cameras inside your own consciousness…
and now you’re wondering why you can’t relax.

Awareness was never meant to become surveillance.

It was never meant to feel like judgment.

But that’s what you turned it into.

A system.

A loop.

A constant need to check if you’re doing existence correctly.

So now you’re tired.

Not because life is heavy…
but because you won’t stop watching yourself live it.

So what do you do?

Do you forget everything?
Go back to the way it was?

No.

You don’t go backward.

You go through.

Through the need to monitor.
Through the addiction to getting it right.
Through the quiet fear that if you loosen your grip for even a second…
everything will fall apart.

You let that burn itself out.

Because here’s the truth you keep dancing around—

Awareness matters.

But awareness was never meant to replace trust.

You were supposed to come full circle.

To live like you did before…

but with a knowing underneath it all.

Not I hope things work out.

But I know they do.

And that knowing is quiet.

It doesn’t check.
It doesn’t correct.
It doesn’t hover over every moment like a supervisor.

It lets life move.

It lets you move.

Because if you really are what you say you are…

then who exactly is auditing who?

Sit with that.

The ego doesn’t disappear.

It just rebrands.

Before, it was fear, doubt, insecurity.

Now it wears different clothes—

Alignment.
State.
Manifestation.

Same loop.
Just dressed up in spiritual language.

The unholy trinity didn’t leave…
it just put on a robe.

Thoughts.
Consciousness.
Circumstances.

Still running the show…
just sounding prettier while it does.

And it would almost be fine…

if it wasn’t exhausting you.

So what happens if you stop monitoring?

What do you do then?

You live.

You laugh without checking if it’s “high vibration.”
You desire without diagnosing it.
You move through your day without stepping outside of yourself just to evaluate how well you’re being yourself.

You stop performing existence…

and you return to experiencing it.

Not as a concept.

But as you.

The way you used to be…

except now—

you know.

And that knowing changes everything.

Because nothing is at risk.

You were never separate from what you wanted.

You were never required to control the process to receive from it.

You’ve been trying to earn something that was already yours.

Trying to manage something that never needed management.

And that’s why you’re tired.

Months have gone by with you sitting inside your own head…
trying to manifest a better life…

while missing the one you’re already standing in.

Here’s the part you’ve been skipping—

Living is the most spiritual thing you can do.

Not fixing.
Not checking.
Not optimizing your internal world like it’s a machine.

Living.

The moment you stop trying to make life spiritual…

is the exact moment you begin to experience its divinity.

Because it was never separate.

It was never hiding.

It was always in the ordinary moments you kept walking past…

looking for something more “aligned.”

You’ve been trying to arrive somewhere…

while already standing in it.

Crazy, right?

So simple…
you missed it.

You don’t have to lose awareness to get your life back.

You just have to loosen your grip.

Stop trying to become.

And just be.

Not “being” as a concept.
Not “being” as something to master.

Just… be.

You don’t miss the old you.

Good.

Because you were never meant to go back.

The point of awakening…

was never to escape life.

It was to remember—

and then finally…

to live again.

Without fear.
Without checking.
Without asking your own thoughts for permission to exist.

You were trying to become a god…

when all along—

god was just trying to go outside and enjoy the day.

So go.

Step outside.

And for once…

don’t watch yourself do it.
