There’s a moment, a rare one, when the noise fades. When the buzz of worry, the static of stress, the gnawing need to fix, solve, or chase something disappears. And what remains is not what we expect. It isn’t elation or celebration. It’s raw. Quiet. Still. And for a second, it feels almost unbearable.
We were raised on the idea that storms are always coming. That we must carry weight, or we’re doing life wrong. That ease is laziness, and peace is denial. So when it lifts the weight, the storm, the need to panic, we’re left in unfamiliar territory. We don’t know how to sit in stillness without manufacturing noise. We’ve been taught to fear quiet.
But when you see it, really see it, there’s no turning away. You notice the truth. That there is no enemy chasing you. That provision comes. That something, call it the current, the rhythm, the order always seems to nudge things along just right. Not in the way we demand, but in the way we actually need.
The panic comes first. It always does. We want to recreate drama, stir up tension, make something wrong just so things feel normal again. Chaos has been our home. Peace feels foreign. The addiction to anxiety, the urge to pick a fight, to worry about the future, to regret the past, that’s all we’ve known. So the mind tries to pull us back.
But then, one day, it stops. You look around and realize there is no battle. There is no emergency. Good and bad don’t cancel each other out; they teach. They shape. They turn us into something more solid, more real. Every loss, every gain, is carving something meaningful into us.
Nothing is wasted.
The people we lose never truly vanish. What they gave us, who they were, what they sparked in us, it lives. And we, too, are always becoming. Changing shape, changing form, taking on new names, new paths. This life is a river. We are the water and the current.
When we judge others, it’s just a mirror. What frustrates us in them is the unfinished work in ourselves. Our projections, our grudges, our assumptions. They’re signs pointing to something we haven’t yet healed.
And so, we are pulled, slowly, from the world of noise to the world of silence. One foot in each for a while. The old self clings, but the new one knows. The weights fall away. Sometimes through fire. Sometimes through surrender. Always through challenge.
We get exposed. Vulnerable. Stripped bare. And in that space, we meet ourselves honestly. We see where we’re still carrying things we don’t need. Stories that never belonged to us. Patterns that were passed down, not chosen.
There is still work to do. But it’s no longer a frantic scramble. It’s a quiet knowing. A deep call to become. To offer what we uniquely hold. To pour out love without keeping score. To live in a way that leaves something better behind, not just in the world, but in ourselves.
There will be a split. Two worlds. One built on fear, noise, and control. The other built on stillness, presence, and trust. And you will have to choose. One world demands you hustle to earn your worth. The other waits patiently for you to remember you already have it.
Step out. Into the one without the noise. Where wind dances, sun shines, birds sing. They do not beg for attention. They simply are. And they are more than enough.
So are you.
