Whole Before We Walk Together

When you are unapologetically yourself, you will trigger people.

Not because you are cruel.
Not because you are loud.
But because you are clear.

You say what you mean. You mean what you say. You don’t soften truth to make it easier to swallow. And truth has a way of rattling ears that are addicted to illusion.

People admire boldness until it stands in front of them.
They love authenticity until it exposes what they are still pretending to be.

You are not here to dim so someone else can stay comfortable.

Revelation was never about the world ending. It was about old ways collapsing so something cleaner could rise. Death isn’t the tragedy people think it is. Death is part of the contract. Nobody comes here if they cannot leave. This life is temporary. That alone should free you from clinging to things that were never meant to define you.

And that includes relationships.

When you don’t need someone, you show up differently.

Need is not love.
Need is dependency dressed up in romance.

To be someone’s oxygen is not flattering. It’s pressure. It’s a weight placed on your spirit that was never meant to be carried. You are not responsible for completing another human being.

There are only a few things you truly need in this life.

Breath.
Health.
Shelter.
Resources to survive.

You do not need another person to make you whole. You do not need someone to validate your worth. You do not need approval to exist.

You are complete as you stand.

But showing up whole? That’s the hard part.

An incomplete person cannot stand next to someone who has done the work for very long. It burns. It exposes. It mirrors.

The person who has faced their past understands something simple: the past happened, yes. But the version of you who lived it does not exist anymore. What exists is now. How you show up now. Who you choose to be now.

That is power.

Wholeness looks like boundaries.
It looks like protecting your peace because you know what it cost.
It looks like knowing your limits and honoring them.
It looks like drawing a line in the sand and refusing to step backward just to keep someone else comfortable.

Incomplete people show up expecting to be served before they have learned how to serve. They want all the benefits without the balance. They bring demons into the room and expect you to fight battles you never signed up for. Battles you have never even seen.

Put two incomplete people together and you will find chaos behind closed doors.

Put an incomplete person with a whole one and eventually someone is being pulled somewhere they shouldn’t be. Either the stronger spirit drags the other forward, or they get pulled backward into old patterns.

Still imbalance.

Put two whole people together and you will still see mistakes, because we are human. But you will see more balance than destruction. More understanding than warfare.

And it starts with honesty.

Show up as who you are in the beginning. Not who you hope to become. Not who you think the other person wants. Not the edited version. Not the highlight reel.

There is nothing worse than a hypocrite. A hypocrite is not just someone who makes mistakes. A hypocrite is someone who builds love on a lie and then feels betrayed when the truth is discovered.

Don’t get angry when someone realizes they fell in love with a version of you that never existed.

Through thick and thin does not include deception.

Energy is exchange. If you want love, you give love. If you want loyalty, you live loyal. Most people want to receive first and contribute later. That is not how balance works.

You cannot drain someone’s cup, test their patience, question their loyalty, and then be shocked when you are standing at a crossroads empty-handed.

Alone is better than alone with another human just to say you aren’t alone.

Fall in love with yourself fully before you try to fall in love with someone else. Because until you do, every relationship will mirror the wounds you refuse to heal.

Real love does not look like the movies. It is not obsession. It is not chaos. It is not gravity pulling you down until you forget yourself.

Real love lifts.

But only if you have done the work to recognize it.

If you truly saw love from the inside out, you would protect it fiercely. You would not gamble it on dependency. You would not confuse intensity with intimacy.

And let’s be honest.

Not everyone is going to love you.

And they shouldn’t.

Because the people who cannot meet you at your level are not meant to walk beside you.

Be whole first.

Then walk together.
