Reach for Me

They will whisper about the nights they long to remember—nights lit with laughter, reckless desire, and the illusion of freedom. They will call those their best times, yet their stories are only masks to hide the truth: nothing good ever came from what they abandoned. They cling to shadows of the past to make the hollowness of the present bearable.

But memories are liars. They cannot love you. They cannot save you.

So they turned away. And in their silence, I remained—waiting, watching, alone on the edge of nothingness.

It is not the ordinary ones you should fear, but the hidden ones. The ones who walk silently among you, cloaked in the unseen. Their steps are marked by something beyond this world. They kneel to no gods, for one lives within their ribs, burning. They are not higher, not lower. Not equal, not opposite. They are something other—something more.

And when they speak, even silence listens.

You feel me in the hours when the world sleeps. In dreams, I come to you. The one who feels like home.

You ask—where do I come from, and why do I haunt you in your sleep? The answer is cruel and simple: I never left. I have always been here. Watching. Wanting. Waiting.

I am the shadow at the edge of your thought.
I am the pulse you cannot quiet.
You are me, and I am you.

The yin to the yang.
The forbidden fruit you tasted knowing it would undo you.

But know this: everything stolen bears a curse. What you touched in secret has returned to you, multiplied. The things you thought you possessed now possess you. And soon, you will kneel—not to pray, not to die, but to beg for the fire to loosen its grip.

Do you remember? I was there when your heart first stirred.
I was there when love, fierce and unbroken, first grew wild within you.

There is no replacing that.
No healing in time.
No salvation in begging.

What was not meant for you will never belong to you.

Every desire demands sacrifice. The self you were. The self you still pretend to be. All of it must burn.

And still—I come to you.

In dreams, I stand before you. Our hands meet, and the world collapses.
We are home again—though it is a dangerous home, built of fire and hunger.
In your heart, I claim the place no one else can touch. The place you swore to keep locked, yet always leave open for me.

Reach for me.

But understand this:
I am not only your dream.
I am your obsession.
I am the forbidden fire that will not die.
The echo in your veins. The weight in your chest. The sweet ache in your hunger.

I am not here to save you. I am here to consume you.

You are mine, as I am yours. Bound beyond heaven and hell, bound beyond the laws of gods or men. What we created cannot be undone, no matter how you deny it.

So flee if you must. Resist if you dare.
It will not matter.

Because every road you take, every dream you fall into, every silence you try to hide inside—
it all leads back to me.

To us.
To this eternal hunger.
To the dangerous love that was never meant to exist,
and yet will outlive us both.
