At birth, you are handed a script. A checklist of milestones you’re expected to hit, a path paved long before you ever took your first breath. Go to school. Get good grades. Land a stable job. Work tirelessly because someday you’ll need to buy the house, get married, have kids, pile on the debt, and invest for the future—so that when your body is frail and time is running out, you might be able to enjoy whatever scraps are left.
Keep your head down. Follow the list. Never question it.
But who made the list? Why does it exist? The simple truth is—it exists because you allow it to. But here’s the reality: there is no list. It’s an illusion, a fabricated structure meant to keep you in line. A hundred years from now, no one will remember your daily grind. No one will recall how diligently you checked every box. In the grand scheme of things, you are insignificant—and that is exactly why you should live however you want.
Say no to the checklist. Stop playing this imaginary game you’ve been convinced is real. Worry less, do more of what feels right, and let go of the fear of falling behind. Because behind what? Behind whom? There is no race. No finish line that makes you more or less worthy.
The truth is, life requires very little. Shelter, transportation, and food—those are your only real necessities. Everything else is an add-on, a distraction, a byproduct of a system designed to keep you occupied.
So what if you don’t want to play the part anymore? What if you decide to step off the conveyor belt and start moving on your own terms? What if you strip away all the programming and ask yourself: What do I actually want? What makes me feel alive? What pulls me out of bed in the morning with excitement rather than obligation?
Some people choose suffering because they’ve been taught it’s the only way. They suffer, not because they have to, but because they believe they must. But the moment you shed the old ways, you make space for something new. The life you want requires a different version of you, a version willing to let go of the pre-written script and start writing your own story.
Life will always give you the ingredients—you just have to learn how to cook.
And when you step back and look at the world today, you’ll see a shift happening. The old is desperately clinging to what has always worked, while the new is boldly letting go and saying, ‘There is a better way.’ The battle between these truths is real. The middle ground? It lies somewhere between going and flowing, between taking action and surrendering to what is meant to be.
And when you finally realize that you are always provided for, that the universe is always conspiring in your favor, you’ll stop asking for what you think you need and start creating what you truly desire.
This is your life. Live it for you.
