Some people swear life happened to them.
No.
Sometimes life handed you a shovel and quietly stepped back to see what kind of person you really were.
That is the part nobody wants to talk about.
Because when somebody hands you a shovel, there are a thousand things you could build with it. You could plant something beautiful. You could till the dirt, grow food, create peace, build a home, protect your family, heal yourself. You could turn pain into purpose. You could turn destruction into wisdom.
Or…
You could dig yourself six feet deep and blame everybody else for the dirt.
And thats what gets me about people lately.
The audacity.
The complete inability to look down at the hole they dug with their own two hands while screaming at the sky asking who ruined their life.
You did.
Every selfish decision.
Every lie.
Every manipulation.
Every person you tried to control.
Every bridge you burned because your ego needed applause more than accountability.
Shovel by shovel.
Dirt by dirt.
Choice by choice.
Then when the grave gets deep enough and somebody finally stops trying to save you… suddenly they become the villain because they put the gravestone where it belonged.
Funny how that works.
People will give you absolutely nothing to hold onto. No honesty. No peace. No closure. Not even a respectful goodbye. Just chaos, confusion, excuses, gaslighting, selfishness, and destruction wrapped in human skin.
Then they get offended when you stop mourning them.
Some chapters do not deserve a poetic ending.
Some stories are not tragic romances.
Some people are simply lessons with legs.
And eventually you stop standing at the edge of the grave begging somebody to climb out of it.
You let them keep digging.
That is the part growth teaches you the hard way.
You cannot save people addicted to their own destruction.
Especially the ones obsessed with control.
Those people will shoot themselves directly in the foot just to avoid admitting they bought the gun.
Read that again.
They will create their own suffering, engineer their own downfall, sabotage every good thing near them, then stand in the smoke blaming everybody except the person in the mirror.
We are living in strange times.
People would rather protect a fantasy version of themselves than face the truth sitting directly in front of them wearing neon lights.
The signs were always there.
But selfish people do not read warning labels.
They only read mirrors.
And even then they usually lie to themselves.
What makes it worse is when the bubble finally bursts.
Because eventually every lie collapses under its own weight.
Every manipulation slips.
Every mask cracks.
Every secret starts leaking through the walls.
Every performance reaches closing night.
And when it all hits the floor at once?
God.
That sound echoes.
I think thats why some people spiral so hard when the truth finally catches them. It is not just embarrassment. It is grief. They have to mourn the fake version of themselves they spent years protecting.
That kind of collapse changes people.
Or destroys them.
Depends on whether they pick up the shovel again and finally decide to build something worth surviving in.
Me?
I believe something deeply now.
I believe a table really is prepared in front of your enemies.
Not metaphorically either.
I think life reaches a point where the people who tried to manipulate you have to sit there and physically watch you become everything they tried to stop.
And there is not a damn thing they can do about it.
That is the real punishment.
Not revenge.
Not rage.
Not destruction.
Irrelevance.
Watching the person you underestimated become untouchable.
Watching your lies lose oxygen.
Watching your control disappear.
Watching somebody you tried to bury rise anyway.
Because heres the truth nobody talks about:
Some of us are blessed and highly favored.
And people mistake kindness for weakness all the time.
They think healing made you soft.
They think peace means stupidity.
They think silence means submission.
They think grace means permission.
Until the healed version of you remembers exactly who the fuck you used to be.
That part scares people.
Not because you are evil.
But because healed people with boundaries become impossible to manipulate.
And stupid people never realize they are stupid until the game stops working.
By then its already over.
The dirt is packed down.
The flowers stopped growing.
The visitors stopped coming.
And the grave they dug for somebody else became their permanent address.
Meanwhile the ones they tried to destroy?
We walk off into the sunset.
Wiser.
Sharper.
Untouchable.
Leaving the shovel exactly where they dropped it.
