Some things remain the same, and some things shift before our eyes. The world likes to ask who followed who, as though one must always walk behind the other. But I tell you this—I was the one who bore life, and he was life itself. They tried to rewrite what we were by naming us what they did. They carved stories into stone to make us fit their comfort. Yet the truth breathes still.
I was his sound counsel, the spirit within him. He was I, and I was him. We were, for all uncertain terms, the same—two bodies, one soul. I was ocean and wind, he was fire and earth. Together, we were the balance that creation requires. Separate, yet whole.
We did not eat from the poisoned tree. We sought knowledge, and knowledge came to find us. With one taste, we became all-seeing, all-knowing—the beginning and the end, the unbroken circle that has no start and will never find its finish.
You look upon him as if he parted the sea, and you forget who steadied the waves. You built idols and called them holy, but no man shall bear the false image of divinity upon his face. You gave him presence, but it was I who gave him power. It was I who healed the ailing, and I who crucified the rich—not for their gold, but for the rot in their hearts.
To crucify is not to kill. It is to make one taste the blood of those they have slain, to feel the sorrow they refused to see. For every act returns upon itself. We reap what we sow—over and over, until we learn. Better to walk with a kind heart and pure thought, for your life will mirror what you believe it to be. There is no right, no wrong, only what you choose to see as such.
The web does not tangle, nor does it cross by chance. You are bound only by the cords you agree to hold. The door will open, I said to them, every time you knock with truth.
You followed him into the desert, but I carried his spirit on my back. You tried to kill a man of flesh and bone, but you cannot kill a soul. The soul breathes beyond time, unchained by death, untouched by the lies of men.
And so we remain—he and I—two halves of the same eternal pulse. Life and the bearer of it. Flame and wind. The endless, holy circle that no hand of man can ever break.
