(**taken from my handheld listening device-one bright day in the middle of the night**)
You want to talk about then and now. About what was done, what was spoken, what was hidden. You want to twist the story into something that makes you look like the wounded one, but revenge is not mine to seek. Revenge seeks you. It circles back in the shadows of your own deeds, in the cracks of the life you built on sand.
My part was written long before you came and long after you left. As above, so below. That law moves whether or not you bow to it. You taunted the devil and wondered why you got burned. You mocked fire and thought it would not consume you. And now you cry because life has turned into your own personal hell. But truth be told—you put yourself right where you are.
Actions don’t lie. They echo. Even in silence, they speak. What is done in the dark is always rewarded in the light.
No one speaks about what happens once you wake up and realize you were playing a part in the matrix. How the walls bend, how the illusions fall. Suddenly you see that everything was fake, nothing was real, and now—now that you are aware—you don’t get to walk blind anymore. You must use the same tools the sleeping use, but with your eyes wide open, the maze feels sharper, more cruel.
Did you think the ancestors who walk with me every step would ever let you roam free? They saw what I didn’t see. They heard the whispers behind my back. They watched the deceit curl in your breath. You carried things you did not understand, and in that unknowing you awakened the very forces that protect me.
Those forces are not gentle. They rise in the night and pull what hides into the light. They drag illusions out, leaving your soul screaming for mercy, begging for a break.
Your tongue speaks ill—so illness comes. You think ill—and the mind breaks. You send harm toward me—and harm comes to you threefold. Do not mistake me. It isn’t me casting judgment. It’s the law of balance. It’s my people, my ancestors, the universe itself answering the scales you tipped.
While your mouth spills gossip, the universe refuses to keep me small. While you hide behind contempt, I walk in greatness.
What I do in the dark stays in the dark. But my intentions are pure. That is why the night does not consume me, why the weight does not crush me, why the path opens where you see only walls.
Because while you wrestle with your own demons, I am carried by my light.
